MATTHEW PATERNA DC Convention Coordinator

Dr. Paterna attended Loyola University in Baltimore, Md. to earn his undergraduate degree. He studied marketing and finance and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1995. After his experience with the chiropractor, he attended the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Dr. Paterna graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2004. ”The natural lifestyle, non-drug approach of chiropractic was appealing.” While in chiropractic college, Dr. Paterna first intended to specialize in sports chiropractic care. Once he started visiting chiropractic offices, however, he realized that chiropractic gave him the opportunity to help all different people. He knew that starting chiropractic care early with babies and children gave them the best chance at a healthy life. That’s why he focuses on family chiropractic care.
Dr. Paterna has done postgraduate courses in pediatric chiropractic and neurology with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). He is a supporter of the Connecticut Chiropractic Council and the CT Coalition for Vaccine Choice. He is the immediate past president of the Connecticut State Chiropractic Council (CCC), serving two terms as president.
